Single Fin - Bali
The Bukit Peninsula is at the southern end of the island of Bali, Indonesia. It's traditionally considered to be all the area south of Jimbaran beach. Unlike the bulk of the rest of the island, it features a dry, arid and stoney landscape. Bukit means 'hill' in Indonesian, and when you’re hiking up the 500 plus stairs at Pyang-Pyang beach, you’ll know why it merited that name. The area consists of many world-class surf breaks including Padang- Padang and Uluwatu.
Uluwatu, is beyond beautiful. It’s an advanced surf spot with several reef breaks, and handful of restaurants and shops on the cliff that look over the breaks. Even with a mediocre sunset, it's gorgeous.
Sunday nights have been going off here at one of the restaurants, Single Fin. The last few weeks I've been here, a local band plays mostly reggae from sunset until 10ish, followed by DJ and Australian surfer Adam Bennetts, aka Adam &Eve (hope that's right). Lots of Bintangs, sweaty dance floor, great music, and beautiful people. Be sure to drop by if you’re ever in the area, it sure beats Kuta.
This was my Halloween, Bali style.

Balinese Man - Greenballs
I'm in Bali. Waves have been small, but I'm not complaining, after all I'm in Bali. I"ve been spending everyday surfing ankle to head high waves. I still suck, but it's exactly what I need before the 6 month dive into winter. Been getting around on a scooter and therefore lagging on the picture taking with no place to store anything bigger then my point and shoot. Meet some amazing people from everywhere here. Great times. This place is awesome.
This lovely Balinese gentlemen, sits at the top of the stairs (about 400) of a reef break called Green Bowls, or Greenballs beach, selling drinks, everyday. The breaks on the beach are pretty exposed. It gets bigger waves then most spots which might normally be pretty intense here, but the swell has basically been non-existant for the last two weeks. So from what I've been seeing it gets bigger waves then most other spots (exception of Pyang-Pyang). I've only seen it over head one or two days so far. Crossing my fingers for some swell soon.
