Hana Beaman - Covered

With all the new special girls issue snowboard magazines, it's pretty rare to see a girl on a cover. Not this month, Hana landed on the back Cover of Snowboarder Magazine, 3rd issue! She deserves it, yea girl.
We shot this slash on our trip to Valdez, Alaska last april with H20 Heli operations. That story is coming out in Snowboarder First Girls Issue which will hit newstands in October. Can't wait to check it out!

Thank you Pat Bridges and Hug Hughes for the cover, trip and all your support over the years. Without your support I wouldn't be were I am today. Also Standard Films, Leanne Pelosi, Kimmy Fasani, Aaron Karitis, H20 Heli, Travis Robb, Chris Ondo, DC shoes and everyone that has every bought a snowboard magazine anywhere.

Congrats to Tim Peare and Austen Sweetin on the cover on the other side. Nice work boys!

Corey Sheppard

I shot some portraits with Shepps last week for his upcoming artist profile in SBC. Corey is a wizard with photoshop and digital manipulation, and it's his vision to display that with his portrait as well. So instead of doing some crazy set up for the shoot, we kept it simple stupid and tried a couple easy things. He's probably gonna buck on the post production, and I imagine that I won't recognize the image when it's all said and done. Can't wait to see what comes out of it!!

Corey and Anthony Leffelaar started a new headwear company called Vivo headwear. They put together a sick snow and skate team, and some real fine quality dome gear. Check out there stuff, it's gooooood.

panasonic LX5

My friend was on the hunt for a new point and shoot this weekend. I can't pretend I am up to date with all the new point and shots coming out every week, but it's fun to catch up every once and a while. So I put in some hours researching and reading up on the latest and greatest to help him out. It came down to two cameras in the end which happen to be brothers both part of the Leica family. Panasonic LX5 and a Leica Dlux 4. After much debate he dropped in on the panasonic at half the price of the Dlux.

In the end you can get nice pictures with any camera, but having a good camera does help someone realize their vision and bring it to life. A good camera makes it easier and makes it fun. If you shoot with a camera that you enjoy shooting, your images will be better for it. Have fun Mark!
