MEC Fall Lifestyle

Just recently had some more images from a campaign I did with MEC back in the spring, go live on their site. This was a super fun and laid back shoot In Vancouver, British Columbia.  It involved, bike touring around the city and stopping at some dynamite micro breweries (Storm Brewing and Bomber Brewing). We also stopped in a lovely little bakery (Uprising Breads Bakery) and grocery as well.  Nothing was serious about this shoot.  I think my favorite part was when I sat on the back of a tandem bicycle. It allowed me to provide a unique part of the group perspective.

Be on the lookout for a few more sneak peeks in the coming months! I love working with this company and will happily continue to do so. I also want to throw a hug thank you to Jaime and David with MEC for being so great to work with!

SNEAK PEEK: MEC Fall Running and Lifestyle Campaign Shoots

As a longtime customer of MEC, I am proud to have partnered up with them in the last couple months. I have been working with them on several campaign shoots so far this year. The brand really resonates with my lifestyle and photography style, so the results have been great. It has been really exciting to be on the shoots.

At this time not much has been released from the shoots yet, but I can’t wait to see the final results. Here's the first taste of two really casual and fun shoots we did back in June. More to come soon!

Sandbox Catalog

Sandbox was founded in 2004 by Kevin Sansalone and a group of close friends in their hometown of Whistler BC.  They started the brand with a series of snowboard films that captured a new style of film making with well rounded riding that is a huge part of the snowboarding culture in Whistler and Western Canada. Later they started the Sandbox helmet brand in 2007. The helmets are quickly becoming one of the leaders in helmet style, design and function, and Sansalone is a legend.

I shot some lifestyle, action and product up on the Blackcomb glacier and in the studio last summer for the catalog and website.  We got to enjoy the full Whistler weather experience, of sun, rain and snow, in a 5 hour period.  Epic.  Here's how they turned out.

Balinese Man - Greenballs

I'm in Bali.  Waves have been small, but I'm not complaining, after all I'm in Bali.  I"ve been spending everyday surfing ankle to head high waves. I still suck, but it's exactly what I need before the 6 month dive into winter.  Been getting around on a scooter and therefore lagging on the picture taking with no place to store anything bigger then my point and shoot.  Meet some amazing people from everywhere here.  Great times. This place is awesome.

This lovely Balinese gentlemen, sits at the top of the stairs (about 400) of a reef break called Green Bowls, or Greenballs beach, selling drinks, everyday.  The breaks on the beach are pretty exposed. It gets bigger waves then most spots which might normally be pretty intense here, but the swell has basically been non-existant for the last two weeks. So from what I've been seeing it gets bigger waves then most other spots (exception of Pyang-Pyang).  I've only seen it over head one or two days so far. Crossing my fingers for some swell soon.
