Nike NYC City Pages

I just got back from NYC last week.  What an inspiring city!  I spent a week there shooting with Nike NYC for their city page on Nike.com.  It was a rad experience to be able to work across all categories including women's training, men's training, Nike sportswear, and running over the course of two days.  After that I shot 'BraHaus' at Bandier, a Nike sports bra launch which went live on July 6th.  We shot with 5 beautiful New York local influencers who were such a pleasure to shoot with.

It is pretty rare that I get to work with Nike direct as opposed to going through a crate agency.  It was a wonderful experience!  Hayley Champloux at Nike produced all the shoots.  I was so fortunate to have Nike master trainer and model Traci Copeland help me find moves that worked best for what we were trying to capture.  I really couldn't have done it without her.  All the talent was fantastic to work with: Lauren Williams, Joe Holder, Rebecca Kennedy, Patrick Frost, Holly Rillinger, Lucie Beatrix, Evan Cooper and many runners from the Wru Crew. Such babes. Thank you all for being so great and easy to work with!

Last off thank you Bruno Gracia for the hospitality and my epic crew of re-touchers for working so hard last minute.  Special thanks to Kezia for her retouching. You can check her out here.

If you would like more information on the new products launching or the new line of sports bras, please check out the links below.  More to come.

DC Hit and Run event coverage

I covered the DC HIT & RUN EVENT in Whistler at the end of March in a very foggy day. Here's how she went:

FINAL STOP OF THE DC HIT & RUN IN WHISTLER, BC - RECAP

March 28,2016

The final stop of the DC Hit & Run went down at Whistler Blackcomb last weekend. The course was steep with deep smooth bowl turns that had the 80+ competitors more managing their speed more than milking for speed. Rider’s ultimate goal was to get down the course as fast as they can while being judged on their style and trickery on the three placed features (40ft jump, rail section, and a mandatory 2 hit pipe run) where riders earned valuable points for time deductions.

A Pemberton Wedding

Back in September I shot a fantastic and unique wedding for Kate and Callum MacLeod. They set up in their very own backyard which was overlooked by Pemberton's Mount Currie. It was the perfect backdrop for this wedding. Throughout the space you would see pops of color everywhere which was Kate's vision. She wanted a rainbow of color on everything from the bridesmaids dresses to lanterns above the tables. It was a great wedding for this wonderfully unique couple.

JPV was able to successfully set a new world record for highest air in a superpipe on skis, launching 8.04 meters (26 ft, 3 in) above the deck of a pristinely cut, 22-foot superpipe. The world record was previously held by Peter Olenick of Carbondale, CO; Olenick set a record of 7.58 meters (24 ft, 11 in) on January 31, 2010, during the first-ever X Games High Air contest in Aspen, CO.

Simon D'Artois in Mountain Life Magazine

Here are some photos from a shoot I did last March with the Giro half-pipe team in Tignes, France.   Simon won the X Games that year and redid his winning run, still drunk from the night before, so the cinematographer could get the shoot.  It was quite honestly flawless and he was really run.  So classic.   Simon is such a creative and humble dude. Happy to see him land some pages in this magazine.

Robin Van Gyn for ROXY

Robin Van Gyn for ROXY

My best friend Robin van Gyn and I went on an amazing European trip last February 2015. We spent weeks exploring the beautiful mountains of Italy, Austria, France, and Switzerland.  Robin is such a hard working athlete and is so knowledgeable in the back country.  Roxy licensed these images below and used them in everything, from catalogs to billboards in Disneyland.
